She participated in the Florida Flute Association 2023 and 2024 conferences with the FSU Flute Ensemble.
Douglas studies with Dr. Karen Large and Dr. Mary Matthews at FSU. In her hometown of Maryville, Tennessee, she studied with Knoxville Symphony Orchestra member Zach Millwood and previous Maryville College professor of flute Nathalie Simper.
Alongside her flute studies, Douglas is also an active painter and animator. This February, her work “Glowing” was featured in Blackberry Mountain’s Perennial Ties group exhibition.
